Meet The Advisors

Mike Cravath, WMS℠

Lead Advisor

Mike joined Stone House after spending the early part of his career with a large finance firm. He’s always enjoyed digging into the details of finance and working through complex problems — the same curiosity that led him to a degree in accounting, with a minor in forensic accounting, from Marywood University. He found his calling in financial advising: using his skills to help people and make a real difference in their lives. Mike takes a holistic approach, walking clients through every part of their finances and standing alongside them at each stage of life. He came to Stone House for its commitment to going the extra mile for clients. Outside of work, Mike enjoys golfing, time with family and friends, and adventures with his Golden Retriever, Walter.

Watch Mike talk retirement strategies — The 4% Rule

What is the 4% Rule? The idea is that you withdraw 4% of your retirement savings each year so you don’t outlive your money. It’s been around a long while — but does it still hold up? Mike walks through where the rule works, where it doesn’t, and 10 illustrative scenarios that make it more personal than a one-size-fits-all number.

The 4% Rule is a general guideline derived from historical research. It relies on assumptions that may not reflect future market conditions and may not be appropriate for your situation.
